Where the data comes from

The sources behind Chainage: TMR open data for roads, chainage, traffic and speed signs, plus OpenStreetMap, the NHVR, councils and Google.

Transcript

Chainage's roads, chainages, traffic counts and speed signs come from TMR open data, published by the Queensland Government. Chainage checks for new data every day, and updates automatically. Live speed limits come from OpenStreetMap, heavy vehicle access from the NHVR, and council roads from the councils' own open data. Chainage is independent, and isn't affiliated with TMR.
